We are looking for a Presales Technical Writer to support our cybersecurity Product and Sales team on its activities on cybersecurity portfolio. This position will be based at our Cybersecurity Center of Excellence in Transinne, a village in the Belgian municipality of Libin.
As a Technical Writer, you will have the opportunity to work in a challenging environment with state-of-the-art technologies within the cybersecurity and space domains. Tasks and Activities
The scope of work will include:
- Technically develop the opportunities assigned to the sales team.
- Proactively scope the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assess customer's met and unmet needs, and recommend solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the company.
- Secure input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the client side. Adapt solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
- Coordinate closely with sales and product team, together with service resources, to align solution design with customers’ business and technical requirements.
- Secure commitments from customer's technical staff needed to ensure a deal’s “technical close”.
- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
- Opportunistically pursue additional business development opportunities within customer firms.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered and advanced.
- Develop and manage technical proposals for various projects and tenders.
- Manage the reply to RFIs and RFPs.
- Cooperate with the Bid Team closely to complete winning project proposals.
Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- University Degree (bachelor’s) or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, or business administration.
- At least 3years proven experience in IT or cybersecurity industry experience, preferably in a presales or internal sales function
- Proven technology skills.
- Good presentation and storytelling skills.
- Attention to detail, with an analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
- Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
- Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken. Dutch is an asset.
Some of the following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- Experience with cybersecurity managed services
- Experience with Infrastructure as a service systems such as VMWare Vcloud director, OpenNebula or OpenStack.
- Experience with KVM virtualization technology.
- Information Security concepts involving incident detection, analysis, decision support and response.
- Network security knowledge.
- Experience in pre-sales or technical support of solutions for cyber defence or security operations including some of the following: Knowledge of Identity Management and Authentication systems, Vulnerability Assessment (VA) tools, Penetration Testing (Pentest) tools, SOC, etc.
